Bare Metal Parts

We offer some of our products in bare, uncoated metal. The reason for this varies by product, but can include giving our customers the ability to customize their parts, or offering the product at a lower cost.

There are some things to be aware of with bare metal parts. Bare metal parts can oxidize over time, and may also have visible marks from bending, cutting, or other parts of the manufacturing process. Please review this page before purchasing any bare metal parts, as returns will not be accepted due to manufacturing marks on bare metal parts.

Scratches

Scratches can occur when moving large sheets of material, or installing hardware. Any scratches on our bare metal parts are very shallow and will be easily hidden if the part is painted or powder coated.

Bending Marks

On any part with bends, there will likely be bending marks. These are usually on the outside of the bend and may or may not be visible when installed depending on the exact part.

Lubricants

Sometimes lubricants from the manufacturing process can end up on the sheet metal. In many cases this can be removed with de-greaser, rubbing alcohol, or even dish soap and water.

While not an exhaustive list, this page covers the most common things you will see on bare metal parts. Please Contact Us if you have any questions.
